Hooray for New York!!!
Friday was a good day for all, and a necessary reminder that for all the losses equal rights movements have suffered recently in state and local governments, the good fight is worth it.
According to Andrew Sullivan:
It’s a BFD because a Republican-led State Senate passed this law. It’s a BFD because it also insists on maximal religious liberty for those who conscientiously oppose marriage equality. It’s a BFD because the public leadership of this campaign was heterosexual. It’s a BFD because it doubles the number of Americans with the right to marry the person they love, even if they are gay.
